Telehealth Care for Acute Illnesses

An acute illness is a sudden onset of symptoms that are severe in nature. With telehealth, you can often consult with a doctor about your symptoms and get a diagnosis and treatment plan on the same day.

Dr. Rolnick’s additional training in pediatric emergency medicine at a level one trauma center and Children’s Hospital makes her uniquely able to evaluate and provide quality care for acutely ill patients. We will do everything we can to keep your child safe and at home, only sending the family to the ER when absolutely necessary.

Telehealth Care in Emergency Settings

When it is necessary for our patients to go to the ER, we will call the emergency physicians ahead of time to ensure coordination of care and help parents navigate the in-patient setting and hospital discharge process.

We know how scary and overwhelming it can be when your child is in the ER or admitted to the hospital. Our goal is to provide you with as much support as possible during your challenging time.

If your insurance covers telehealth visits, then it should cover TytoCare™ visits as well. Visits typically cost the same with or without a TytoCare™ device. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, many insurance providers offer virtual visits at no additional cost to the patient.
