Dr. Blair A. Rolnick, a pediatric emergency medicine trained physician in Westfield, NJ, is an early-career leader in the medical field who strives for innovation, clinical excellence, educational advancement for medical staff, and improvements in treatments for patients. She attended a Pediatric Internship and Residency at Goryeb Children’s Hospital from 2016 to 2019 and a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children from 2019 to 2021.

Dr. Rolnick decided to open her practice in her hometown of Westfield, NJ, where she and her 5 siblings were born & raised and still reside to this day.

Dr. Rolnick’s training involves learning at a level-one pediatric trauma center within one of the busiest pediatric emergency rooms in the country. With numerous publications, presentations, and awards, Dr. Rolnick is a decorated leader with superior clinical expertise and a passion for helping children and mothers. Currently, Dr. Rolnick specializes in general pediatrics while caring for her young son.

Goryeb Children's Hospital Dr. Rolnick led the development of numerous educational tools and protocols to improve clinical service during her training at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. She participated in improving quality care in the areas of sepsis management and response protocol, and an asthma management protocol.

Further, Dr. Rolnick has delivered several presentations on pediatric stroke, massive transfusion protocols, pediatric resuscitation, best practices, genitourinary cases in tertiary care, blunt head trauma, and more. As a Board-Certified Physician in General Pediatrics since 2019, Dr. Rolnick has contributed to various cutting-edge clinical, scholarly, and educational pursuits. These include serving as Chief Fellow for the Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. As a Course Director for CME activities, Dr. Rolnick developed a full-scale CME course that was implemented across the ER department.

Dr. Rolnick spearheaded the development of a formal residency educational program for a tertiary care children’s hospital with numerous institutions in rotation, implementing educational content that satisfied the requirements of multiple facilities. Dr. Rolnick also designed and implemented a structured simulation curriculum created to improve resident physicians’ management of pediatric cardiac arrest.

In addition to success with clinical pursuits, Dr. Rolnick understands how to connect with a modern audience to build engagement, education, and awareness. As the creator and content curator for several digital-facing initiatives to heighten our understanding of services at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Dr. Rolnick established the @stchrispem Instagram account and the www.foam4pemfellows.com educational website to post educational content for PEM fellows. She looks forward to translating these experiences into clinical content curated for parents to help support them in reaching their child’s optimal developmental outcome using evidence-based knowledge as a pillar of support.

Personal Time & Passions:

Dr. Rolnick is passionate about education, advocacy, and outreach, specifically to improve the health and well-being of children and their families. Whether it is helping someone select the correct diapers or formula to diagnosing and treating an acute illness, Dr. Rolnick prides herself on helping others. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, surfing, and wakeboarding. As a huge coffee lover, she and her husband are constantly in search of the perfect cup of coffee to enjoy together.
