Meet Your Child's Pediatrician Before Your Baby Arrives

Your relationship with your child’s pediatrician should begin before your baby arrives.

Expecting a Baby?

Meet with Dr. Rolnick before your baby arrives to ask questions, discuss your family’s priorities, and start building a relationship with the pediatrician who will care for your child from the very beginning.
Bee Kind Pediatrics offers one-on-one prenatal consultations with your child’s future pediatrician, giving expecting parents dedicated time to ask questions, discuss their family’s needs, and feel prepared for the first days and weeks at home. This isn’t a group class or a rotating cast of instructors. It’s the beginning of a relationship with the physician who will actually care for your child.

Meet Your Child's Pediatrician Before Your Baby Arrives

Choosing a pediatrician is one of the first healthcare decisions you’ll make for your child. At Bee Kind Pediatrics, we believe parents should have the opportunity to know and trust that physician before the first newborn appointment. Our prenatal consultations are one-on-one with your child’s future pediatrician, allowing you to ask questions, understand our approach to care, and begin building a relationship before your baby is born. By the time you bring your newborn in for their first visit, you won’t be meeting a stranger. You’ll already have a physician who understands your family, your concerns, and how you hope to approach your child’s care.

Built Around Your Family

Every pregnancy, baby, and family is different so your prenatal consultation shouldn’t follow a generic script. Your time with Dr. Rolnick is centered around the questions and circumstances that matter most to you.

Depending on your family’s needs, your consultation may include conversations about:

  • Breastfeeding, formula feeding, or combination feeding
  • What to expect during the newborn period
  • Preparing for your baby’s first days at home
  • Sleep and safe sleep practices
  • Newborn feeding patterns
  • Sibling transitions and preparing older children
  • Previous NICU experiences or anticipated NICU needs
  • Prematurity or other medical considerations
  • Vaccines and preventive care
  • What happens at your baby’s first pediatric visits
  • When to call your pediatrician
  • Any concerns you have about becoming a new parent

There is no list of questions you should ask. The conversation is designed around what you want to know.

Direct Access Before Baby Arrives

Questions don’t always wait until your scheduled consultation — and neither does parenthood. Establishing care with Bee Kind Pediatrics gives families a direct line for questions and guidance as they prepare for their baby’s arrival. Instead of waiting until the first well-check to figure out who to call, how the practice works, or whether a concern warrants medical attention, you can enter the newborn period already knowing your pediatrician and how to reach them. That familiarity can make the transition home feel a little less overwhelming.

A Relationship That Starts Before Birth

Your baby’s first pediatric appointment shouldn’t have to be the first time you have a meaningful conversation with their doctor. Starting the relationship prenatally gives Dr. Rolnick an opportunity to learn about your family before your baby’s arrival, including your priorities, concerns, medical history, and any circumstances that may affect newborn care. For families with anticipated medical needs or a previous NICU experience, beginning these conversations early can be particularly valuable. It allows us to think ahead, answer questions, and create continuity between preparing for your baby and caring for them once they’re here.

Practical Guidance for the First Weeks Home

The first few weeks with a newborn come with a lot of information — and even more opinions. Bee Kind Pediatrics focuses on helping parents understand what actually matters. We’ll provide practical, evidence-based, judgment-free guidance so you can make informed decisions that work for your baby and your family.

Topics may include:

  • How often your newborn should feed
  • Breastfeeding, formula feeding, and combination feeding
  • Understanding wet and dirty diapers
  • Newborn sleep and safe sleep
  • Umbilical cord and skin care
  • Bathing
  • Common newborn behaviors
  • What crying can mean
  • Visitors and illness prevention
  • When a temperature or symptom requires a call
  • What is normal — and what deserves a closer look
  • What to expect at your baby’s first well-checks

The goal isn’t to overwhelm you with every possible scenario. It’s to help you recognize what’s important, know when to reach out, and feel more confident caring for your newborn.

Judgment-Free Support for Your Choices

There is rarely only one way to care for a baby. Families make different decisions about feeding, sleep routines, childcare, family involvement, and countless other parts of newborn life. Our role is to provide reliable medical information, help you understand your options, and support you in making informed choices for your family — without judgment. You should feel comfortable asking your pediatrician the questions you’re actually thinking about, not just the ones you think you’re supposed to ask.

From Pregnancy to the First Well-Check

Continuity is at the heart of the Bee Kind Pediatrics model. A prenatal consultation creates a natural transition from preparing for your baby to caring for them after birth. Once your baby arrives, that relationship continues through:

  • Newborn visits
  • Feeding and weight monitoring
  • Developmental monitoring
  • Sleep guidance
  • Lactation support
  • Vaccinations
  • Same-day sick visits
  • Direct physician access
  • Ongoing wellness care

Rather than starting from scratch at each stage, your pediatrician gets to know your child and family over time.

My daughter just had her ears pierced today and I can tell you that both Maria and Dr. Blair couldn’t have been more professional or patient with my daughter. She also engaged very well with my daughter made her feel comfortable and that means a lot to any parent of a child. I would highly recommend Dr. Blair and her office to any parent that’s looking for a pediatrician for their child.

We’ve been going to Beekind for about 6 months now and I have nothing but great things to say about this practice. First, the space itself is absolutely stunning. With the calming colors and whimsical designs, it’s hard to believe you’re in a doctor’s office. The exam room is more like a play space that immediately put my child at ease. But what truly sets this practice apart is the care. Dr. Rolnick and her staff are not only incredibly knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest in pediatric medicine, but they also take the time to really listen to your concerns and meet you where you’re at. We’ve never felt rushed and everyone is always extremely patient and kind. In fact, every time we’ve visited either Dr. Rolnick or FNP Santucci have sat with us for at least an hour, playing with my child and answering every question I’ve had. The personalized attention we receive here is unmatched. Plus, they have the most up-to-date technology which makes telehealth visits a great option if you can’t make it into the office. It’s a completely different level of care—proactive, thorough, and deeply human. We feel so lucky to have found this place. Highly recommend!

The health, wellbeing, and development of my baby are the most important things for me as a parent, and to be able to invest in good doctors is crucial to ensure we’re providing our baby the best we can. After having an upsetting experience at another pediatrician we were recommended this pediatric practice by our friends and we’ve been so happy with the choice. Not only they’re thorough with their assessments, blood work, eye exams, etc, they truly make you feel cared for. They’re also vaccine friendly and will allow you to space out vaccinations if needed. My husband and I highly recommend this place!

If you’re reading these reviews wondering if you should join Dr. Rolnick’s practice at Bee Kind Pediatrics, this is your sign to go for it. We had our daughters’ first appointments today, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Switching doctors can be a daunting process, but after today, we’re confident we made the right decision for our girls. From the moment we walked in, Kelsey made us feel so welcome. She was warm, friendly, and took the time to explain everything about the practices and appointment in a way that was clear for the entire family. We felt completely comfortable and informed every step of the way. Dr. Rolnick is truly exceptional. To say she is thorough is an understatement. She took the time to make sure both of our daughters felt safe and comfortable in her care, and that sense of security extended to us as parents. She listened attentively to every concern and responded with kindness, understanding, and action. The best part? Our 5-year-old left the office saying she loved her new doctor and asked if Dr. Rolnick could be her doctor “forever.” If that doesn’t speak volumes about the care they provide, I don’t know what does. Thank you Dr. Rolnick and staff!
